I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and they were busy. Had to wait about five minutes as there were multiple people in front of me. Not to worry as there were tons of items left. I purchased several different Italian cookies, pastries, and desserts. I do have to say the sesame cookies and cannolis were some of the best! I also purchased a pecan stollen that was amazing! I highly recommend stopping by!
Everything is good. Bring cash. The ravioli cookies by the pound are my absolute favorites at Christmas. But really anytime.
We've been there a handful of times in the last year after discovering them on accident. Their baklava is to die for! Now, every few months or so we drive an hour to go buy out their baklava for the day! Absolutely delicious and they're very friendly, too. Plenty of other desserts to try, but the baklava is always perfection.
Met the owner. Mimi is the best. Best pastries in town. The gooey butter cake is amazing. So is the apple tart and everything else. Highly recommend.
Wanted to buy some fresh bread and stopped by the Missouri baking company located in the Hill. Have been here a couple times before and as always service was quick, courteous, and the options plentiful. Got a nice loaf of sourdough bread for under four dollars and it couldn't be beat. This institution has been around a while and I just wanted to add my kudos to one of the better bakeries around.
The desserts I bought are delicious. The service is fast and helpful. The food is packed in nice boxes.
I made the mistake of coming hear their the "Wine Walk." It was also Mother's Day weekend, so the entire place was packed including this bakery. I couldn't even eat dinner in the neighborhood afterwards because of how packed everything was. The bakery itself definitely had a lot to offer. Very friendly staff, but unfortunately were cash only. I only took home their Gooey Butter Cake. It was good but not the best I've had in St. Louis. Would probably be back when I'm in the area to try out some of their other pastries.
YUM YUM YUM. We got here at the perfect time in the morning of a Wednesday. Shortly thereafter, the wait got really long as the people kept flowing in. Make sure you get a ticket when you get there immediately and then go browsing.
